Problem of vanished post possibly related to an edit. Also corrupted URL
This is to advise of a problem of a vanished post, see my previous topic dated 29 June 2021.
I thought I had posted a topic relating to Affiliate Libraries, but it seems to have vanished.
I originally wondered if the post had vanished because it had been moved, but I now suspect it vanished during an editing process.
I definitely posted it, and noticed that one of the URLs I had mentioned had become corrupted and wasn't working so I edited the post. I could not remove the corrupted URL so just added a new URL. When I say corrupted URL, the URL had changed from from the usual URL format, to something which was supposed to show the linked webpage, only something had happened and it wasn't. I don't know the technical term for this.
I now believe the problem of the vanishing post is related to either the corrupted URL or the editing process, most probably the latter, as I had a problem in the past with an edit that vanished, although I was immediately aware that that had happened, see my previous topic dated April 8, 2021 Vanishing post in Ideas/Records (Searching and Viewing)
There is also an additional problem in respect of the first topic linked above dated 29 June 2021 in that one of my further posts/comments vanished, and when I tried to add another post/comment very recently, I was unable to do so.

I have now found out that the post which I thought had vanished was in the possession of FamilySearch all the time (it had been moved), see Escalated posts and Vanishing posts. Thumbs down and needs to be changed..
Although the comments about edit problems are not now relevant, in the post above, please refer to the matter of the corrupted URL, and also to the fact that I have been unable to add additional comments to my post I thought I had posted a topic relating to Affiliate Libraries, but it seems to have vanished.

Further to my comments immediately above, the additional comments to my post I thought I had posted a topic relating to Affiliate Libraries, but it seems to have vanished. which I was unable to post suddenly reappeared in multiple duplicates.
I hope someone can explain what is going on here. From the point of view of my user experience, this Forum platform, including current structure, is WORST I have ever used.

The same thing keeps happening to my posts. Someone in power might respond, but before I can read their response, my post and the response disappears!! So, I don't get to read any responses. Just received an error message:
Permission Problem
You don't have permission to do that.

Check in your messages or notifications to see if there is a response this way from Familysearch.org.
Sometimes messages are sent to a escalated queue for more experienced help and they disappear from the Q & A page, but you should be able to view a message from the team, when it has been properly reviewed and handled. Then I believe you should be able to send a response back through the messages to that team.

As you will read in other posts, this is just not happening in many cases. Whether or not all moderators are getting the same training in how to deal with escalated cases is probably the main factor here. Regardless, this is exasperating many members of Community.

There is an issue with the design of the forum that can cause the issue that you see. When a post is moved the default is not to leave any "breadcrumbs" as to where the post went. To leave a trace the person moving has to check a box. Frequently we see individuals moving a post forget to mark the box so the post effectively disappears. In my opinion the default should be the other way around. The moved label is left unless there is some specific reason for hiding (which should be very infrequently). Just my opinion - hopefully a person with power will see and make changes

Thank you for advising gasmodels.
I cannot believe that a system has been designed this way and share your hope that a person with power will see and make changes.
What other organisation of any type has a system where a "customer" makes contact with a company, a company person moves the query/ feedback and others within the company have NO WAY OF TRACING THIS?
@Walkinlight1 I would point out that regarding the post which "vanished" it was DAYS later before I received a message from FamilySearch. This was AFTER I had posted asking where my post had gone, and no-one knew and AFTER I had reposted my original post.
