"Access denied" "Error 15"?

It's the new Imperva security service. For me, I know it's not client-side, it's not cookies, it can't be fixed with a restart, it's on all browsers, on my desktop and Android phone, and only goes away whenever the security system stops having the dry heaves or whatever. The same browsers work if I use my cellular network instead -- I don't even have to close or restart anything, just switch networks and reload.

It's something on their end triggered by some kind of innocuous user action -- I don't know exactly what, but apparently I do it every day. It's also frequently preceded by the CAPTCHA check, and random log-outs.

I think it might be related to the new function where changes made in one tab get propagated to other open tabs in the background. I often have a lot of tabs open, so if 50 background tabs suddenly get an update, that's going to look like a bot at work. (Which it is -- the bot that FS installed with this update. I'd happily disable that feature if I could.)

If you open the browser console, you'll see the server is responding with 403 errors for some resource requests -- they've deemed you a security risk and locked you out. This results in a person page showing the Internal Server error. It has also totally killed FS record searches for me -- the search results are blocked with the same 403 error. Imperva has no user-facing contact support, so how do we get people to whitelist our IP addresses so this stops happening?

It appears the "Access Denied Error 15" bug has resurfaced

Error 15 has blocked FS in my updated Chrome browser. After disabling all my extensions, and disconnecting my VPN, the problem persists. I can only use FS in Chrome incognito. Why am I being forced to use incognito? What is going on?

At the same time there are no problems using FS in Firefox.

Error 15 is occuring for me today. I was working fine on Family Search last night. I have the same error as all the above people have.

I have done all the "fixes" but I am locked out.

    This is not cool.

I very rarely get error messages, but did get an "Error 15" when making a search a couple of days ago. Fortunately, there was no further problem after I reloaded the page.

    Hello All,

For the first time in a while, I've been hit by this "Error 15" "Access Denied", by Imperiva. Of course, I've done all the standard: cleared the cache; rebooted the browser; rebooted my computer, to no avail. Has anybody else run into this issue tonight? (7/18/2023)

    Thanks for your time.

    Steven

I can't login using Brave on Ubuntu. This situation is outrageous.

This is still hitting me all the time. A couple hours into editing, if I make a few quick merges, open up the edit history of a merged profile, have too many background tabs open, sure enough the Internal Server Errors start shutting any attempts at editing down.
