Hi, since yesterday (3/27/2023) I have not been able to view profiles or family trees (if I click on a link). I'm using Safari 13.1.2 & wonder if it's just getting old. Any ideas? Thanks

Have you tried signing in Chrome or Edge to see if you view the same thing? Have you tried clearing cookies? If none of these work, please call us at 866-406-1830, so we can get a closer look.

@NMeehan1 Are either of these similar to what you are experiencing? https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/139453/pages-not-loading https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/141942/source-linker-not-working

Hi PABulfinch, Clearing cookies helped with some things (ie., I'm able to attach records to people); however, I've not trying Chrome or Edge yet (will need help with that). I have a feeling that my Mac (Version 10.13.6) &/or Safari (Version 13.1.2) may be getting old. But will try those soon. Thank you for responding.

Hi Maile L, Neither of those situations are exactly like mine... I'm on a Mac & using Safari. But they both resonate. Any other ideas are most welcome. Thank you for responding.

This could well be a browser issue. FamilySearch says they support the current version of a browser and the one just below that. Safari is currently at version 16.3, so anything below 15 is going to start having trouble.

Firefox is a good option if you cannot update Safari. Go to: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/mac/ to download it. Their site says it will run on OS 10.12 and higher.

Hi Gordon Collett, Thanks for responding & the suggestion. I tried Chrome (based on a previous suggestion by PABulfinch) & it worked! Hopefully, it'll work for a while. If not, I'll try Firefox.

Good to hear. You should be in good shape with Crome or Firefox until they stop updating because of needing a newer operating system.

Mac are great because they really do last a long time. I have a Performa 6400 in the basement that if I set it up runs just fine with it's macOS 7.5. It ran PAF great. Besides running some pretty fun old games, it makes a good doorstop now. However I do hope you are keeping frequent back ups of your hard-drive. If you are using a machine that won't go over OS 10.13, it is getting older and the hard drive going out is your biggest concern.
