Name Field under Vital : multiple names
I know to put additional version of their name under ALternative Names. BUT I keep finding some people in FS have multiple names in VItal - Name field.
So it is easy to see, quick ot respond and helps in searchs. Some won't understand this, But look my my records GSTY-XKM
While she does an something under ALternative Name, she also has 2 names in the Vital section and the Name field. I like that.
I want to use it for where I have a name they were born with in Europe and they have an American name they used while in the USA.
Can someone tell me how to do it? I did look up for instructions and what I found does not work. It says go to the VItal Seciont, Name field, Click Edit, then click OTHER or SCROLL down. There is no Other and the tiny popup window there is NO SCROLLING DOWN.
Can anyone tell how that happened in this person's record? By the way I have seen this before but I didn't care back then.
Please help.

I have some born in Europe with one name, but upon reaching the USA have a different name, perhaps Americanized. All their legal documents for most of their lives using the Americanized name. Including marriages, children's births, divorice, and death. In such cases I use their legal name for the majority of the lives, and the birth name under Alternate Names

@AlanJones10 the instructions you read refer to the Language option that is now provided on all names. For Russian names, there is an option to enter the name in both Cyrillic and Latin alphabets. But it is the same name, not an alternate name.
Other commenters: After the OP posted his question here someone else edited the profile, changing the name Language from Russian to Polish. Polish does not have the option of both Cyrillic and Latin alphabets.

So I understand we can re add a name in the same field, but selecting LANGUAGE, picking a different one, and then get multiple names in the primary name area.

The language selected now is Polish. The language menu is working normally.
