FYI
Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
I am just another 'lowly User/Patron ...
That is not a such a bad suggested enhancement.
I am not particularly adverse to your suggested enhancement.
But ...
I do not know about a 'Tab' for "Unconnected Person", that may take up too much space.
Especially, for a feature/facility/function that may not be extensively used by many Users/Patrons.
Question:
Are you aware, that there is a reasonably quick access to the 'Unconnected Persson' feature/facility/function?
Pictorially ...
Web version ...
'Tree' View (in this case 'Landscape')
.
"Mobile" Application version
About x2 or so, 'Selects'; or, 'Taps', in each case.
Still, I agree that your suggested enhancement, is certainly worthy of consideration.

Yes this is currently the way I do it, however it requires opening a second browser tab then the family tree header then recent then unconnected person, then to input the name. Then I have to go back to the original tab to refresh the source I wanted to add to a new person. Then click the newly created person in my recent list. Review and connect.
Mabey not a tab per say but something to the effect that is similar to adding a 2nd uncreated profile to a source. Where the computer will pre type the pedigree and we approve it. Create the profile and attach the source all in the same window.

FYI
While attaching a "Source" to an individual/person ...
Question:
Are you aware that you can ALREADY "Create" a NEW; and, if necessary, an UNCONNECTED PERSON, from the "Source Linker" (itself), in the process of attaching the "Source" to the ORIGINAL individual/person concerned (and, their Family members, if any)?
You DO NOT have to MOVE away from the "Source Linker" to "Create" a NEW; and, if necessary, an UNCONNECTED PERSON.
The ONE thing, that you MUST do, in the process, is TAKE NOTE of the 'FamilySearch Person Identifier' (PID), of the "Unconnected Person' you are creating/have created; as, it is NOT connected to your "Ancestral" Lines.
IF, you do not take note of the PID; and, you are lucky; THEN, you may be able to find them again through the "Find" feature/facility/function in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
I am just curious, if you are aware of the aforementioned.

Yes, though this can only be done in the source linker once a person is created or while linking to a already created profile.
