When a question/discussion has been moved to a new category the original question/discussion gets an indicator that says "closed." This can be misleading to people - they may get the idea that their input is being "closed out" when in fact it is only being moved. For this reason I usually send a private message explaining that it has only been moved to a different category. It would be better to use a term like "Moved" rather than "Closed" for this situation.

FYI
This post, really applies, to the "Topic" of, "FamilySearch Community", in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, rather than "General User Interface".
I am sorry, I do not have the ability, to "Move" the post, to that "Topic".
Submitted for your immediate, information; attention; and, consideration.
Kind Regards.
MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU IN THIS IMPORTANT WORK
Yours Faithfully,
Brett

Drew, please always, always, always send a private message, not just "usually" and convince all your fellow moderators to do the same. If you scan through the boards you will find a lot of people getting very confused and annoyed by the current process, such as this post: https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/89925/notifications-issue#latest
Getting a message regarding what has happened to ones post is really important.
