The INTERFACE between, 'FamilySearch'; and, "MyHeritage", appears to be DOWN, this morning.
The INTERFACE was working perfectly fine ALL Day yesterday; and, for many Days previous.
Any thoughts ...
Whose 'End' ... 'FamilySearch'; OR, "MyHeritage"
There is currently NO "Weekly" Schedule 'Update'/'Release' in 'FamilySearch' going through at the moment ... being, Friday morning (my 'local' time)
[ But, one CANNOT 'rule-out' any smaller AD-HOC "In-Line" (Unscheduled) 'Update'/'Release' in 'FamilySearch' by a "Programmer" ... ]
Perhaps, something going on at the "MyHeritage" end ...
Oh ... I hope that "My Heritage" has NOT "Broken" the INTERFACE once again.
'Thank You' in advance.
Submitted for your, information; attention; and, consideration.
Kind Regards,
MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU IN THIS IMPORTANT WORK.
Yours faithfully,
Brett

FamilySearch
It's back ...
It is now after 3 pm (my 'local time'); and, the INTERFACE now seems to be working again ...
The INTERFACE was 'Down' (ie. NOT Working), ALL morning, until Halfway through the afternoon ...
It would be nice to know, what 'End' (ie. 'FamilySearch'; OR, "MyHeritage") caused the 'outage'; and, WHY ...

FamilySearch
4 to 5 Hours Later ...
And, its GONE ('down'/'out') again ...
I wonder if it relates to "Server" Problems/Issues ...
First time that I have notice the INTERFACE going up/down or in/out, during the day ...

FamilySearch
It started to work again a while later ...
But ...
That said ...
It was (and, now is), "very Jumpy"; and, 'extremely slow" ...
Much slower than before ...
And, more times than not, it is now NOT finding/referencing the individual/person with whom one is trying to attach a "Source".
Having to "Cancel'/"Close" the attempt; and, try again - which more often than not, does work.
Something is amiss in the INTERFACE.
Could be from either 'End' (ie. 'FamilySearch'; OR, "MyHeritage") ... but, who knows for sure ...
[ I am leaning towards the "My Heritage", 'End' ... ]

Those of us who are not Latter Day Saints have no access to this feature. It would so obviously be in MyHeritage's interest to make it possible for non-LDS to pay an extra fee to get access to it, but they don't. I suppose FamilySearch must prohibit them from doing so as part of the MyHeritage-FamilySearch partnership- there is no reason why MyHeritage couldn't do this and increase their revenue.
What you have experienced- a few hours of non-access to this feature- is nothing compared to what the 99.8% of the global population that is non-LDS experiences.

FYI
'No', to the contrary ...
The Users/Patrons of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', who are NOT members of the Church, certainly CAN (and, DO) have access, to the Feature, of the INTERFACE between, 'FamilySearch'; and, "MyHeritage".
Such IS available to them, if they, either,
(1) Have a "Subscription" Account with "MyHeritage"; and, "Connect" that account, to their 'FamilySearch' Account;
AND/OR,
(2) By visiting a "Family History Centre" of the Church; where, access to "MyHeritage", is available, for FREE, to ALL.
Here are a couple of "Knowledge Articles" in 'FamilySearch' on this:
How do I sign up for partner access to MyHeritage?
How do I attach sources from MyHeritage to Family Tree?
.
And ...
Certainly NOT ...
The Church (eg. 'FamilySearch') would definitely NOT, in NO way, 'prohibit', such as you 'suppose'.
That is the, right; responsibility; and, prerogative (and, call) of "MyHeritage", NOTHING to do with the Church.
In fact, I would suggest that having "MyHeritage" do as you 'suggest', would be EXTREMELY beneficial to the Church.
Especially, with regard to a much better experience for the Users/Patrons of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
A ... 'Win, Win' ... for ALL, so to speak.
.
What I experienced, is what, MANY; Many, many, Users/Patrons who use, BOTH, "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'; and, "MyHeritage", would have experienced, nothing less.

I was mistaken about this particular aspect of the MyHeritage-Familysearch partnership. I apologise.
