How do I turn off FamilySearch email notifications?

How do I turn off FamilySearch email notifications about my 8th great grandfather this and my uncle that? I get the emails but there is never any true information involved, so what's the point in receiving the messages. How do I turn them off?

I was receiving emails for something I decided I was no longer interested in being notified about. At the bottom of the email was an "Unsubscribe" option. If you have this on the emails you are receiving, simply check the box that allows you to unsubscribe and you should cease to get these unwanted messages.

However, if they are internal notifications (not external emails) you should follow the advice above, if relevant to your problem.

Hi, Deboralyn, These notifications can be very annoying and can really clutter up your email. Here is a link to an article that explains how to manage many of these notifications. However, some of these, especially the ones that are sent around many holidays, are part of marketing campaigns that are designed to encourage the use of FamilySearch and are harder to prevent.

Gracias por la captura de pantalla. Me sorprende que siga recibiendo mensajes de error desde este punto, ya que no he experimentado un problema similar en los últimos días. A veces, un problema se relaciona con un servidor en particular (me inclino a usar Firefox la mayor parte del tiempo), pero pueden ocurrir problemas los lunes, cuando se lleva a cabo la mayor parte del trabajo de mantenimiento del sitio.

Si el problema persiste, puede intentar cambiar a otro navegador o ponerse en contacto con Soporte (directamente, por correo electrónico) para ver si se trata de un problema conocido o si tienen alguna solución.

Por cierto, la "sección Comunidad" es justo donde estoy escribiendo esta respuesta y en la que ha aparecido su problema. Hay un ícono de sobre en la parte superior de la página, que debe contener detalles de cualquier mensaje privado que le hayan enviado en relación con las publicaciones que haya realizado y que hayan llegado a esta sección de la Comunidad de FamilySearch.

How do I turn off FamilySearch email notifications about my 8th great grandfather?

Two ways:

• Go to the person page and mark off the little star next to the names of the person you would like not to receive notifications .
• Or click on Family tree-> click on person->click Following -> click on List. A list of people you are following will be displayed, with the option on Dismiss to stop following.
