This was suggested by a patron who didn't have time to do this herself. Antonina Hunkin thinks it would be a great idea for FS to have their own Notes page in order to place ID's, long, difficult names, or any information that could then be copied and pasted without having to leave the site or open a new tab or toggle back and forth between records.

sounds like a great idea in many ways

but I would not want it built into just Family Search (so that it could only be used in FS)

One's notes should be quickly and easily aviable - whether you are in FS, or somewhere else on the Internet - or using a program on your local PC or a hundred other things - the "note" app should be there quickly available no matter where you are at.

such is the idea of a program like MS One Note -

    or various similar type apps.

I think the comment by Helen - is a totally different topic of how to load notes from PAF to into notes in FS.

Or maybe fixing some of the rampant weaknesses in the To-Do list?

Also, for Helen, get a free copy of the Ancestral Quest application (the current name used for the old PAF product) and open your PAF files with it. When you link those records in the PAF file to FamilySearch FamilyTree, it is an absolute CINCH to transfer those notes, either TO the FSFT, or FROM it.

If you are/were a long term user of PAF, you own it to yourself to investigate the current version of it called "Ancestral Quest".
