Fault/Flaw: Getting "Advice" that a "Temple" is available for PHASE 3, for us, when, in fact, it is

Regarding, the x4 "Temples" around the World now CURRENTLY operating on "Phase 3" RESTRICTIONS ...

BACKGROUND:

My Wife and I "Live" in a "Temple" District (in a State, in our Country) where the "Temple" is CURRENTLY operating on "Phase 2" RESTRICTIONS (ie. LIVING "Ordinances" - Limited, ONLY ), like the majority all around the World.

But ...
That said ...

My Wife and I are CURRENTLY, visiting IMMEDIATE Family (Children and Grandchildren) and friends, in a "Temple" District (in a State, in our Country, next to our State) where the "Temple", only x1 of x4, around the World, is now CURRENTLY operating on "Phase 3" RESTRICTIONS (ie. BOTH, LIVING & PROXY "Ordinances" - Limited ).

The "Temple", in the State next to ours, which is CURRENTLY operating on "Phase 3" RESTRICTIONS, is ONLY, can ONLY, accept those Members, for THAT "Temple" District - as was advised, in the e-mail sent out, worldwide by the Church.

We KNOW; as, just in case, we went to that "Temple", in person, to "Check".
.
[ The "System", will NOT allow those, NOT from that "Temple" District; which, CANNOT be overridden, by the "Temple" Presidency. ]

QUESTION:

With regard to the aforementioned; then ...

WHY, are my Wife and I, 'Seeing' this ADVICE (in the above "Image", in 'FamilySearch"), that we can we CAN "... Celebrate the reopening ..." [ of the "Temple", for "Proxy" Ordinances ... ] WHEN, in fact, we CANNOT.
.
Despite, visiting in the "Temple" District, where the "Temple" is now CURRENTLY operating on "Phase 3" RESTRICTIONS, we CANNOT visit/go to that "Temple".

The ADVICE, that we can, is indeed VERY, "Discouraging"; and, "Disheartening", to say the least.

I would like to suggest that the ADVICE, for my Wife and I, is a FAULT/FLAW in the "System", that was not FULLY, considered; and, "Tested"?

Please, investigate; and, advise.

IF, the ADVICE, that appears for my Wife and I, is a Fault/Flaw; THEN, can you PLEASE address/fix that Fault/Flaw, that so that "Others", in our situation, DO NOT 'see' that ADVICE.

Does the aforementioned, NOW affect the EXTENDED "Expiration" Period, for OUR "Temple" RESERVATIONS?

Due to the majority of "Temples" around the world (including OUR Own), ONLY operating on PHASE 2, due to the"COVID-19" Pandemic?

As, we are NOT, from the current "Temple" District, where we are visiting; and, we, CANNOT, visit that "Temple".

IF, it does, affect the EXTENDED "Expiration" Period, due to "COVID-19", for OUR "Temple" RESERVATIONS; THEN, that is wrong; and, needs addressing/fixing.

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and temple closures, FamilySearch is temporarily suspending all temple ordinance expiration dates until the temples reopen.
Phase 3 is not "the temples reopen".

You DO NOT seem to understand, the NATURE of the problem/issue ...

One of the "Temples" in MY Country, is one of the (ONLY) Four (x4) "Temples", from around the World, that is NOW operating on "PHASE 3" RESTRICTIONS (ie. BOTH, LIVING & PROXY "Ordinances" - Limited ).

MY Wife and I, are NOT, from the "Temple" District, of that "Temple", that is NOW operating on "PHASE 3" RESTRICTIONS (ie. BOTH, LIVING & PROXY "Ordinances" - Limited ); but, we USED to be.

[ We visit the that "Temple" regularly; and, know the "Temple" President and some of the Workers, from when we "Lived" in that State ].

[ BUT, regardless; as, we are (now) NOT from that "Temple" District, due to SPECIAL CONDITIONS for those x4 "Temples" operating on PHASE 3 - RESTRICTIONS, due to the "COVID-19" pandemic, we CANNOT visit that "Temple"; even though, that "Temple" is NOW it conducting "Proxy" Ordinances. ]

As, although we are visiting that "Temple" District, we are NOT from the "Temple" District, we should NOT have gotten that ADVICE that we CAN "... Celebrate the reopening ..." [ of the "Temple", for "Proxy" Ordinances ... ] WHEN, in fact, we CANNOT.

That FAULT / FLAW, being the ADVICE, to us, is the FIRST problem/issue - that NEEDS to be addressed/fixed.

In light of the aforementioned FAULT / FLAW ... ERROR ...

In our particular case, does the aforementioned, NOW affect the EXTENDED "Expiration" Period, for OUR "Temple" RESERVATIONS?

That is "Possibly" the SECOND problem/issue - that MAY need to be addressed/fixed.

WHY I raised my concert in this 'FamilySearch' FEEDBACK Forum ...

I am hoping that an "Official 'FamilySearch' Representative" (eg. Product Manager, Programmer/Engineer, etc) will be able to respond/advise, particularly in regard to the latter concern.

Thank you Brett for pointing this out to us. When a temple moves to Phase 3 our plan was to send an email to everyone in the temple district, and to display the box on the logged-in page of everyone in that country. This latter was done as a way to show that there may be a way to have someone else perform the work for some of your ancestors while you waited for your temple to move to phase 3. Because the box was so small we could not fully explain what was meant, and, unfortunately, it could lead to disappoints like what you experienced. Because of that we are changing our plan and only displaying the box in countries where there is only 1 temple. All will still get the email when their temple moves to phase 3, but the box on the logged-in page will only display if the phase 3 temple is the only temple in the country. Again, we appreciate knowing about this flaw, and apologize for the angst it caused you. Because you brought this to our attention others will be able to avoid that angst.
