Please allow us to view multiple relationships, not just the first one that was entered
I am related to many people in my tree in multiple ways, but for each relative, FamilySearch only allows me to view the first relationship that was created, even though that may not be the closest blood relationship. In some cases it describes a blood relative as the spouse of a blood relative instead of displaying the direct blood relationship. All of this is very annoying, because I then have to view the person’s parent, view my relationship to the parent and then work out my blood relationship to their child. It would be much more convenient if all relationships could be displayed. The format would not need to change. The only difference would be the ability to scroll or click to view the next relationship. If this is not possible, then displaying the nearest blood relationship would be an improvement on the current situation.

They show the relationship that is the closest. Blood has nothing to do with it.

I would really like this as well.
I am related to F. Scott Fitzgerald (GDR3-X2Y) on my father's side- we are both descendants of Richard Key (LZXF-N1P), and I believe we are 6th cousins, 4 times removed (I am 5th cousins, 5 times removed with F. Scott Fitzgerald's father, Edward (KNYK-433)).
However, when I click on my relationship with him, it says he's the spouse of my 7th cousin, 2 times removed. I had no idea I was also related to his wife Zelda, so that was a cool surprise, but it'd be much nicer to show both relationships, or at least favor direct ones over relationships through spouses.

Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
'Yes'...
It certainly would be great, if the Many VARIOUS "Systems", could identify, the MULTIPLE "Relationships", than can exist (ie. be the case), between, oneself; and, another individual/person ...
Unfortunately ...
That Said ...
"Relationships" in one's "Ancestral" Lines are both, COMPLEX; and, COMPLICATED ...
[ And, often, one MUST go back, MUCH Further, than just x15 Generations ... ]
NO "System", will give one, ALL the various "Relationships", that may exist, between, yourself; and, another.
And, various "System", WILL provide, DIFFERENT answers ...
[ Some will be the SAME; but, others will be DIFFERENT ... ]
NONE are PERFECT ...
Life is just TOO complicated ...
Such is Life ...
For Example ...
There CAN be MORE than one "Relationship", to any individual/person, including one's immediate Family.
Usually, the "Family Tree" Part, of 'FamilySearch', takes the EASIEST; and, most direct route ...
But ...
That Said ...
Such, is NOT always; as, one would expect ...
And, here, I stand corrected, if an am wrong ...
As, I believe, that "Family Tree" Part, of 'FamilySearch', may 'look' through one's DIRECT Lines; BEFORE, just "Jumping" to, one's "Spouse's", side.
As, when I check, the "Relationship", in the "Family Tree" Part, of 'FamilySearch', to my Wife, I get:
No Relationship Found
You have no direct relationship to this person in Family Tree, or your common ancestor is beyond 15 generations.
And ...
Yet, my Wife and I, DO "Share", some "Common Ancestors" (in fact, quite a few) ...
[ ie. Including, the likes of, "Brigham YOUNG", one of the Presidents of the Church ... ]
[ But, that said, often, it MORE than just x15 Generations back; where, it all starts ... ]
I know, that this certainly does not help/assist; but, I hope, that this may provide you with, some additional, insight; and, perspective.
Brett
ps: IF, you have not; THEN, I humbly suggest you try (BYU) "RealtiveFinder", just to 'see' what that provides.

I want this as well. Before attaching a record I saw I was tenth cousins with my paternal grandfather via my maternal line. Now I can't see that connection anymore

@tm_private You would probably still see that relationship in FamilySearch compatible, BYU RelativeFinder app - mentioned above. You would just plugin the PIDs of two deceased from each line and should see the common ancestor.
