"Improve the accuracy of Family Tree" placenames - why no UK tasks anymore?
If I go to "Improve the accuracy of Family Tree" place-names and try to work on UK place-names, there isn't a UK entry in the drop-down list.
Does this mean I should be happy that there aren't any (apparent) UK place-names issues any more? That would be my initial reaction. However ... this has happened before, some months ago. I got all very happy about the good work that I'd contributed, then after just a few days, back came the UK places that needed fixing again. Glum...
There was no explanation of why there were some, then none, then some again. Had we fixed them all - then something broke them again? Had we only been given a portion to work on first, and this was another tranche?
And what's happened now?

There is always the 'Group' being "Improve Place Names"

in the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum that you could can also ask that 'Question'.

There are articles in the Help Center that answer that. You can help FamilySearch.
Here is how you can use the Help Center:
On the upper right near to your name is a ? Question Mark. Click on that and when the confusing down box appears, click on "Help Center" at the bottom. When it goes to the next page, identify the area you have questions about. Put your question in the Search Box. It takes a bit of time, using different search criteria to get the result you want. But likely it is there, just a bit hard to find.

I don't see the Netherlands as a country to specifically do, but I just came across some Dutch place names that didn't have standards associated with them. So I am guessing that the countries shown to select are probably the top 10 "worst offenders"

Huge thanks to "Sonsix" in that group that Brett suggested. They delved deep in and came up with the following info which I have shortened slightly:
"Originally they were only going to do one pass through the database to find these non-standard and non-correctable through automation place names. However, there have been many instances where people are selecting to skip the suggested names and move on. This began to pile up so a pass was done of those instances, that was the second pass and why more names showed up for the UK, but they were the skip-overs, not a new pass of the entire database." (My emphasis).
As I replied to them - I'd never have guessed that was how it was done. Also they said:
"We do not check date appropriateness of the standard. We simply sweep the data looking for a match to a standard, any standard. We leave the refinement to others."
So the Improve Placenames initiative is not responsible for my once standardised place-names (sometimes) loosing their date-inappropriate standardised names. Oh well, I don't think anyone's going to resolve how and why several of us lost standardised place-names....

I suspect there are several possible explanations.
(1) Netherlands stuff that got none-standardised after the pass;
(2) Netherlands stuff that got none-standardised but put onto the list of another country to be done. I know I've had some USA places to fix even when I'm asking just for UK places. After all, if the standard place-names is fouled up, how do you know what the country should be? Well, sometimes it's obvious - but if it's really, really bad?
(3) They are places that got skipped the first time around (as per Sonsix's explanation).
