Enable Multiple People to be Selected from Temple Reservation List to Print Temple Cards
I recently submitted a Case #07767829 where I explained that since the update, you can no longer select multiple individuals at one time from your Temple Reservation list in order to print their temple cards (if the people are different pages).
For example, say there is an ancestor on the first page that comes up when you first load your Temple Reservation. If you select them to print, the print button turns blue. But, then if you click in the Search bar and search for another ancestor, the second the new page comes up, the print button turns gray and it's deselected the person that was just selected. So, it's impossible to select more than one person at a time to print temple cards for unless they are on the same page. It's less than ideal when I need to print 5-10 cards for my kids when they have baptisms to do. I'd love to see it go back to the way it was where you can select multiple names and it shows you how many people you select. Then, you can print 3 cards per page.
Thanks!

Fault/Flaw:
A User/Patron CANNOT group together, by selecting individual/persons that are on DIFFERENT 'Pages', in their 'Reservations' (ie. "My Reservations"), of the new "Temple" 'Tab'; and, subsequently CANNOT print (those across DIFFERENT 'Pages') on one Page [ie. Three (x3) Cards to a Page].

.
Background:
.
I was trying on group together Three (x3) Male individuals/persons that ONLY required the "Sealing to Parents" to be done (ie. two (x2) where 'Infants', only requiring "Sealing to Parents"; and, the third had already had his Other Work "Completed").
.
Two were on one 'Page'; whereas, the third was on the next 'Page'.
.
But, when I went to "Print" only ONE individual/person, from the next/second 'Page', was 'listed', as available to print - the individuals/persons from the previous/first 'Page', were NOT 'listed', as available to print.
.
I deduced that such was the case because they were on different 'Pages'.
.
NO amount of "Filtering" would allow me to get those three on the same 'Page'.
.
Query:
.
WHY do we need the 'Page' system, in the various parts of the "Temple" 'Tab', it is totally UNNECESSARY!?
.
We used to be able to just keep scrolling down the list, that was simple and did not cause any problems/issues - there was NO need for a change - there was certainly NO need for the 'Page' system.
.
Old adage: ... If it ain't broke, don't fix it ...
.
Resolution:
.
SIMPLE: Get rid of the 'Page' system in the various parts of the "Temple" 'Tab', just have the ability to scroll down the entire list.
.
So as, to allow the Users/Patrons to group and select ANY individuals/persons together, WITHOUT the encumbrance of the 'Pages' (ie. 'Page' system).
In other words, allow the Users/Patrons to just keep scrolling down their entire list - ie. NO 'Pages' required/necessary.
.
'Thank You' in advance.
.
Brett
.
ps: IF, the reason for the 'Page" system is to allow Users/Patrons to "Print" their list; THEN, you NEED to enable the ability to select (and, action) individuals/persons on DIFFERENT 'Pages'.

Problems with new temple My Reservations page
.
Discovered issue today while helping someone with a backlog of names that needed printing. He hadn't printed since COVID began so there were a few dozen names. Found that the new method of having multiple pages in our reservation list causes your checked names to drop off when you change pages. He selected specific names later in the alphabet and went to mark another name on page 1, when he went back to page 3 they had all been unchecked. The printing check marks only work if you stay on the same page. This will be a major problem when we are back in the temple and needing to reprint cards for every ordinance. We will want to select names from various places in our temple list and it will only work if we don't change pages. A real pain and paper waste. Please remove the page breakdowns of the list. Everything was easier when it was just one list to scroll through.

As Brett mentioned, this is not a new problem. The same problem existed in the previous iteration of the Temple page for a member user, wherein if you selected one or more names on the existing screen and then scrolled down (I do not remember how many screens) you would no longer have those previously selected names still selected.
The new system is a little better, but the selection limit is now oriented toward the current page, not just the screens.
There may be some underlying code involved that prevents the selected names from being remembered and if that is the case, the code may have been programmed more for convenience than for retaining selections for multiple pages. Some people have thousands of names they've reserved and act as a family historian where the temple work is involved.
I'm not sure what can be done that will not cause severe problems across the board if thousands of names are involved. This is one area we may have to learn to live with, but I really don't know.

Thank you so much to all who have voiced their concern to bring back the option to select more PEOPLE from our temple reservations. I used to be able to sort just by clicking on ordinances and the system quickly sorted the individuals based on the next available ordinance. I only shared with the temple system at the encouragement of my leaders since I had so many ancestors needing an ordinance. I like to be able to print ordinances by the sheet. It would be extremely helpful is I could again sort the entire list based on the ordinance and chose a group to be able to unshare from the temple system and print those PEOPLE's cards by the sheet.
Again, thank you to all who have shared their thoughts.
