Jeff Felix said: Lately, when linking an individual to a second spouse, by way of merging, everything is there after the merge, except the new husband or wife!. You have to explicitly add a new dummy spouse and then merge the new dummy into the correct individual. This is reminiscent of behavior that the merge had a couple of years ago, that was finally fixed. Example M!FY-Y9Q was merged into K4GX-PXC Hans Jacob KELLER.The 1749 family book showed that the husband of both wives were the same.

Robert Wren said: It might possibly have something to do with the other dozen "possible matches" with this warning attached:

    "Merge Warnings
The surviving person has been merged several times before. Use extra care when determining that these 2 people are the same person."

Never seen that before! It looks like you might have your hands full figuring that all out????

Jeff Felix said: The warning about matches is common. Some of these families had 10 or more children, including in some cases duplicates, as well as the merge to the individual as a child. The merges have to be done one at a time (this is one thing that NFS did that I liked, but is not done anymore - namely allowing multiple merges at one time). Don't know how to avoid the warning message, however.
