bandslak said: I recently came across two Sources that did not seem to have anything to do with the spouse of the particular person and I would like to be able to delete or transfer them to the correct person. Is ths possible? (I could transfer them using the copy/paste function but that would still leave them on the original person)

Click on the title of the source you want to remove, the source should open up and there is a link entitled --- Review Attachments---. Click on that link and you will see all attachments for that source and you can detach from that view. You can also use the change feature to line up a different person who you can connect the source. It is just a modification of the same procedure you ujse to attach the source originally.0

Juli said: Note, however, that your directions will make zero sense if what bandslak is talking about is not an indexed source. There is no "line up a different person" for unindexed sources.0

gasmodels said: yep you are correct Julie I have a one track mind since most of the sources I attach are from the indexed records.0

Jeff Wiseman said: Yes, Juli has been wonderful in helping me to remember that there is a whole camp of FS patrons out there who (unlike me) don't subsist on "low hanging fruit" as far as sources go :-)0

Paul said: For non-indexed, FamilySearch sources, click on the URL link and attach to the correct individual via the image page. Then, from the Sources page of the person to whom the source had been incorrectly attached, click on Detach. Give a reason statement for your action, for example: "Wrongly attached to ID....., now correctly attached to ID ......", then Detach the source.0
