Paul said: I was cautiously optimistic this would be the case, Judith. Then, quite soon after the change, I found a careless user had managed to make a series of incorrect merges, so now I'm not so sure.
Also, now I'm getting used to how it works, I'm finding I can complete a merge (that I'm 100% sure is correct) almost as quickly as before.
Still, I do hope you are right and the number of incorrect merges will be reduced - it would save me many hours of unwanted work in FT.0 -
Tom Huber said: I'm in the same boat as Paul. I just corrected a merge that took place after the new system was introduced. The person managed to merge a person who was married with child with my grandfather's brother who died at the age of two!
Either the user didn't bother to actually look through the merge screens or they ignored them.
I corrected the problem and wrote a message to the user explaining the situation. I did not chastise them for not paying attention, but let them know that it is easy to get persons confused because of the common names involved.0
