Does the church support a video Conferencing software to assist and train the Consultants within the wards and branches within the stakes? This would be ideal during this time of need and future needs for all Stakes of Zion. Thank you for all the Family Search support. K Leigh Reynolds

We all share an active interest in using the resources of this site and as users, we have various levels of knowledge and experience and do our best to help each other with concerns, issues, and/or questions.
There are a lot of training materials for T&FHCs. Start with https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/f...
Also, there is a discussion community... https://community.familysearch.org/s/... and along the right side are a number of links that lead to a number of resources.
Finally, each ward will have a member of the Elder's Quorum who is charged with overseeing the T&FHCs in that ward (or branch).
As far as an approved mechanism, I do not know of any, but Zoom is being used for many classroom situations and so it could be useful.0 -
Robert Wren said: FS Tech Support often uses TeamViewer, which works quite well in my my experience. Recently I notice that Microsoft Teams is also being used.
As Tom mentioned, another program (recently with some negative reports & reviews in the media) is called Zoom - I've never used it and based on those reports I personally wouldn't recommend it at this time.
There are likely other possibilities, eg: https://www.computerworld.com/article...0 -

But these licenses are not adequate for all of our units to use. Zoom has recently gotten some undeserved bad press because of some bad practices of its users. It is by far the best solution I have used, you just have to remember a few things:
- The free license is only good for 40 minutes per meeting if the meeting includes more than 3 people.
- The zoombombers have been enabled by poor practices. Always choose the option to use a password, and NEVER publish the details of the meeting publicly or generally over the Internet. Only send the details to the participants directly. Zoom is not for Live Webinars for the public.
- Finally, if you have a zoom license then always use your personal zoom chat room for meetings, and again, only inform participants of the details.0 -
