I hope that helps. Is the type of thing you are referring to?0 -
Christina Sachs Wagner said: Penny, please provide more information or explain where you saw this error on your husband's name, so someone can offer some help in making the correction. Most errors are correctable.0

Roy F Hunt said: First, are you working in Family Tree? Second, is you husband living or dead? If he is living then you are the only one that see that record. in either case, go to your husbands details page, Just above his name you will see the word "Edit" Click on it and you should be able to make the necessary changes.0

Welcome to the FamilySearch Forum at GetSatisfaction.com. I am not an employee, but employees do read all of the postings made here.
It is important that you understand that the FamilySearch FamilyTree is NOT like most other trees out there such as Ancestry.com or MyHeritage, etc.
Please forgive me if you are already aware of all the following, but usually when new folks come to this forum and use the term "my tree," it is normally a clue that they might not be aware of an important fundamental concept in the FamilySearch FamilyTree.
The FS FamilyTree is a SINGLE tree shared by everyone in a collaborative, open-edit fashion. It currently has over 1.2 billion person records in it. Anyone can change anything on any record in the Tree. Nobody really has "Their own Tree" from the standpoint of the database. E.g., although your Great-Great Grandfather is also and ancestor of MANY other people, he will only have one record for him in the massive tree
Any records for LIVING people that you create are placed in your own "Private Space". Nobody else can see or modify those records. However, for all DECEASED people recorded in the tree, their records are accessible for viewing and modification by everyone. The following illustrates this point:
Again, welcome to the forum, and good luck as you become familar with how to use the Tree to record your family history!0 -
