All three events are supported with valid attached sources. In spite of this he has a suggested possible duplicate who grew to adulthood and fathered a child in 1804.
Why is he given this possible duplicate when he died as an infant? Shouldn't his 1765 death and burial dates be enough to prohibit this possible duplicate?

The duplicate checker is impacted by improperly merged records and as such, will give us false positives from time to time.
Not much we can do except to dismiss the bad possible duplicate with reason and report them in the forum. Hopefully, someone who is involved with the duplicate checker will take a look to see if there is anything they can do to tweak the system.0 -
