Heidi Kuosmanen said: New merge shows only a standardized place name, and not the written place name, which often contains more detailed information. Here is one example.

I work with Finnish place names, so I now what place names have been standardized in Finland and I know that there is still lots and lots of work left. In the mean time when patrons are researching Finnish ancestors they cannot choose very detailed standardized place, because I have not done those yet. Thus they need to write the more detailed place (farm, village) and then choose the municipality/parish level as a standardized place name.

In the merge it is really important to see also the written place name!
This new merge does not show this information even when you click from the arrow which should give you more detailed information on that event.

This is important because there are so many people with sames even in small areas and extraction has created many persons with wrong patronymics.

These persons are same, even they both still have incorrect names. They do not have last name but a patronymic and girl is always dotter (daughter) thus correct name is Anna Simonsdotter. Person with name Anna Thomasson is added into tree with her father's partonymic (father is Simon Thomasson).
