Jeff Felix said: Recently the indexed records in Thurgau in Switzerland have been changed to German format. This is fine, except that the records from Sirnach were invariably indexed incorrectly in the first place, with the place of residence usually switched from the name of the parish. Thus the christenings are put in Oberhofen, instead of Sirnach, or Eschlikon, instead of Sirnach, both places in the parish of Sirnach, but which had no churches. The Oberhofen christenings have all been linke to Oberhof en bei Kreuzlingen, which is a place by Scherzingen. The correct place should be Oerhofen bei Munchwilen, or just Oberhofen, Munchwilen. The christenings were wrong before, now they are really wrong.
