Joseph Hamelin said: You have swapped two Alexis Hamelins from Quebec-- one (L4MT-7R5) the son of Joseph Hamelin (b. 1766) , the other (LZ99-17W) the son of his grandfather Rene Hamelin (b. 1733). Each Alexis was born in 1788, and both supposedly died in 1870, which is wrong. The first Alexis was the husband of Marguerite Robert and died in Ellenburg Center NY in 1870. The other was the husband of Elisabeth Barrett, and his death date/place is unknown to me. I'm Joseph Hamelin, g-g-grandson of Marguerite's Alexis.

So go ahead and change as needed. Make sure to put sources and notes. Also you can put a Watch so that you are notified when further changes are made.0

Fix the data and relationships yourself adding sources and documentation. I also put something in the life sketch area as that is seen during merges. I wrote a brief summary of how these 2 men are related and not the same person.0
