Easier access for the visually impaired is something that needs to be addressed

    Juli said: Unfortunately, until someone teaches a computer to read handwriting, much of FS's holdings will remain inaccessible to the visually impaired, just like the church registers and microfilms that earlier generations had to work with.

    joe martel said: The FS website pages are coded to support "screen readers" like JAWs. If the patron is already visiting internet sites they likely already have one installed. Also browsers support the ability to zoom in to make the images text bigger. As for images you can zoom in on them as well.
