Not every Find A Grave entry has a HEADSTONE photo.

"We found your grandmother’s headstone. Discover her story and attach what you find to your family tree for generations to come."
but its not her headstone, just the Find A Grave entry for my grandmother that I posted information and photos for.
Maybe you could find another way to linking to Find A Grave without promising a photo of a headstone. Not all entries have them.
"We found your grandmother's grave sight...etc"
would be more accurate. I was disappointed when I found only what I had posted and no headstone. Basically a good idea.

Discoveries and not recognized the records are already attached. Repeative checking to ensure these sources are attached serve no purpose!
Fix the way the source is shown already attached or not. Other types of records already show that feature. So please fix that glitch!0 -
Paul said: I understand the problem being reported is more related to the "headstone" suggestion. Assuming this relates to another of FamilySearch's "campaigns", yet again incorrect wording is being applied. For example, in previous campaigns the word "ancestor" has been used instead of "relative".
I imagine the person responsible for this campaign has always found a photo of a headstone when he/she has visited the Find A Grave website, so was quite unaware of the considerable amount of records that do NOT have a photo of a headstone included. Perhaps, "We found your grandmother's burial details" would be more appropriate.0 -
David Newton said: Findagrave does NOT always have headstone photos. I know that for a fact. What I also know for a fact is that it does NOT always have any grave location. Why do I know that for a fact? I created a profile for one of my great grandfathers who was cremated in 1958 and I have absolutely no idea where the ashes are located. I therefore inputted no location information into the profile.
Findagrave is very much less useful than Billiongraves in this respect. A Billiongraves profile MUST have a geolocated photograph with the geolocation being within a cemetery. Again we see sloppy research and sloppy terminology by the people doing the marketing campaigns. One-offs you can forgive. Persistent sloppiness like this cannot be forgiven as it indicates an attitude and not just an action.0 -

I prefer findagrave anytime over Billiongraves every time!
Billiongraves managemetn lock you out, require you log in to use their premium level in order to contact the person who did the information wrong.
Won't allow you to view other possible relatives in same cemetery unless you use their premium subscription.
Won't do anything with wrong information/wrong photos. Even won't do anything about pilfered photos.
Won't even correct names of cemeteries even there are duplicates already.
Findagrave make every effort. The latest version is a big improvement because I was one of beta testers. Now allow geolocation as well as plot location.
Billiongraves do not allow linking to other family members beyond the same couple marker/companion. NO linking to their parents or children. Findagrave does.
Findagrave does allow contacting the holders of memorials to correct or update.
The only problem I have is that it is Familysearch marketing compaign - telling they found the headstones and FAIL to tell me the sources have been hint-linked or not.
This is the issue I have.0 -

I use Findagrave a lot. The most notable experience I have had in my ancestry line with Findagrave was when someone posted a short biographical sketch to the wrong person with the same initials who is not even buried in the same cemetery. To correct that information, I had to go through ancestry.com and was told that all changes in Findagrave information was through ancestry.com.
Except as a burial site accompanied by a photograph of tombstone, all other information in Findagrave needs to be vetted.0
