Somewhere people can record what they're working on each day and keep track of what they did and why. I like to take my family history notes on a computer at home because it's much faster for me but I can't sign into any other websites (like my preferred note taking app) while at my family history center so I have to do them all on paper to type up later which usually means I end up not doing them at all, which can make it difficult to know what I'm working on and map things out whenever I work on my tree again. If there was a notes feature I could just have them all in one place whether at home or anywhere else.

This capability has already been there for a long time. It's called the To-Do List and is found on the main landing page after you've logged in.
However, the feature is pretty wimpy and needs significant improvement. Many people using this feature find it kind of clumsy, especially for handling longer notes. Although requests for improvements on this list have been occurring for a LONG time now, FS has not seen fit to update anything as of yet.
If you have a specific need that is NOT already in the list of Enhancements for this feature as covered in the topic:

please add your specific request to that topic (there are currently 10 items in the list as of this time).0 -

If you have a mobile phone or tablet with a camera, you might want to take a picture of the information on the computer screen and create albums (folders) on the phone or tablet to file the pictures by date or name or however you want. If you don't have a mobile phone or tablet, screenshots might work and someone at a FHC might be able to help you learn to do that, if you don't already know.0
