Please put them back now!!!!!!!!
How about a phone number that we can call.
Need to talk to a living person.

Look for one or two of the names at https://www.familysearch.org/tree/fin... and see if you find the match. Then connect to your part of the tree. Let me know if you find some of those people! Also, I recommend using the free RootsMagic (you can also pay like 20 bucks to get the full version) to upload and keep a record of those people.0

Gordon Collett said: Bobbie Jean, as Joe requested, please give more details so that someone can explain what has happened. I'm going to base the following on a random assumption that is probably wrong, just as an illustration of what you might need to do.
If your frustration is that your fan chart suddenly went from this:
to this:
then there are several possibilities as to what happened. The key to determine what actually did is the Change Log. You need to go to a person that is still visible in your line and carefully examine the Change Log.
Here are three possibilities:
1) A merge that accidentally did not include all the children.
This is probably the most common cause and the new merge routine that is being developed should help a lot. In this situation, a person was probably working on merging two duplicate of say a father who also each have duplicates of their wife and all their children. If the user does not move the duplicate wife and all the duplicate children from right to left on the merge page those duplicates are all detached from the surviving father. When one of those duplicate children is your direct ancestor, that detached child is now a dead end.
Going to the Change Log for that child, you will see:
Clicking on Show Relationship will expand this entry:
so that you can see the removed parent or parents. Clicking on a parents name, you can get the ID number of the missing parent to add the parent back in:
You may find that the summary card has a bar that says the person was deleted. That is fine. That just means you found who was merged. Go to the deleted person's page which will lead you to the surviving person's page, get that person's ID number, and add them back to your ancestor how lost parents.
Then go ahead and get all other spouse and children who got left behind in the merge properly merged together.
2) A merge that accidentally combined to unique individuals who should not have been merged.
This will look just like (1) in the Change Log, but when you find the the two people who were merged, you find that the merge should not have been done. In this situation, you need to undo the merge. Go to the page for your ancestor that was deleted and the page will look like this:
