Firstly, "Welcome" to this "FamilySearch" ( "GetStaisfaction" ) 'Feedback' Forum.
Secondly, "Official 'FamilySearch' Representatives", do monitor; and, sometimes, participate in, this Forum.
Thirdly, I am just another User/Patron, just like yourself (and, happen to be a Member of the Church).
Many Users/Patrons who regularly participate in this Forum who have a great deal of knowledge and experience with "FamilySearch", like to assist/help other Users/Patrons like yourself.
Finally, from the outset, let me say that, I admit that, I am NOT one for "Sharing" of "Family Tree" information on 'Social Media' Platforms (eg. FaceBook).
Were you aware that you could create a "Group" (either, "Private" or "Public"), within the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, within "FamilySearch" itself, to "Share" the information on "Family Tree" with, Family, Relatives, Friends, etc.
If you are not aware, take a look under "Help" (Top, 'Right-Hand-Corner') of a page/screen:
For example, on the 'Home'/'Landing' page/screen, select "Help" ...
Then, on the 'Drop Down' Menu, select "Community" ...
You then need to "Accept", if you agree; and, join the the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum within "FamilySearch" itself ...
From there you can, either, ask a "Question" of the Forum (in general); or, look through the various "Groups" already established; and, join one of those "Groups"; or, if you so desire, request advice/assistance on how you can setup a "Group" (either, "Private" or "Public"), within the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum within "FamilySearch" itself, to "Share" the information on "Family Tree" with, Family; Relatives; Friends, etc.
As I indicated from the outset, I am NOT one for "Sharing" of "Family Tree" information on 'Social Media' Platforms (eg. FaceBook); but, on the other hand, WITHIN "FamilySearch" itself, that is another matter.
Just my thoughts.

Tom Huber said: I think you are talking about the "Share" function found with respect to many features on FamilySearch, such as
The share feature is tied to your Facebook page or account. From there, you can share it with a group, but you cannot share/post directly to a group. Likewise, you can also copy the URL and post that to a group.
Some of the limitation may be on Facebook's part. They've been hit with numerous problems with people with nefarious designs in any number of fields, not just family history/genealogy. As such, they may be dictating how some page may be shared on their site.0
