I can access MQJ3-9X8 by going through the change history for KW8M-KV2. However, when I do access MQJ3-9X8 that way, it states that it is an unknown name, that the record either doesn't exist, has been removed, or restricted in the Tree. However, I can still see the portrait photo that used to be on this record--it is a photo of Lucy Smith (and Lucy Smith is indeed the other of KW8M-KV2). When I go to Lucy Smith's parents (her father is L4TQ-MG9), they are also being listed with an "unknown name" for one of their children (Lucy) with PID LKR5-29X. The unknown name record was created on 13 Oct by FamilySearch. FamilySearch is the only contributor to the record. There is no name given and no gender given, but the rest of Lucy's vitals and relationships appear on the record (husband, and parents), but no children relationships are listed. Also, if I try to edit the relationship between unknown name LKR5-29X and the spouse KWJC-35T. I get the message that it is a "private relationship" and "Living and confidential people are managed in a private space. Because one or more people are still living, only you will be able to see and modify this relationship page." Also, I used to have sources attached to Lucy, and I can still go to the sources because they are still attached to some other people as well, but they are no longer attached to her, and there is nothing in the change history of the source to show that they were ever attached to her. Also, LKR5-29X has deceased recorded in her death date, and an actual burial date given for her burial, but the top of the page is showing that she is a private person and also contains the message about living and confidential people.
I attempted to access LKR5-29X through my daughter's FS account, and she can't see it because it is living (even though when I look at it, it is marked deceased).
I should also add that Lucy Smith has many, many LDS descendants, but I can't find a single reference to her in the Family Tree. She's been completely removed. She also should have an LDS Church Membership record, but that seems to be gone too. I'm suspecting that all her children have had their tree truncated.
I'm not so worried about how to correct this problem. I'm fairly confident that I can rebuild the tree. I'm more concerned about understanding what circumstances caused this to happen in the first place?

I can see no logical reason to change this record to living. as an aside in this family there are some children well documented and others with almost no information Apparently Lucy had a twin Deseret who has essentially no information added - just wondering if someone that Lucy did not exist. One wonders if the activity on October 11 when an record was disconnected from the parents is not related to what happed to Lucy. Maybe contact that person and see what they say.0

Heather McPhie said: She has hundreds of LDS descendants. When I search for her in Genealogies, she has at least 10 IGI records, several PRF records, and several Ancestral File records. However, when I look for her in Family Tree, she has completely disappeared. I think that my copy of the record isn't the only one that has been marked private, I suspect that MQJ3-9X8 is another example besides my record of LKR5-29X.
I started looking at this because another cousin contacted me to say that she'd just disappeared--he didn't even have a private version of her.
Also, why did all her sources disappear? Even if it is private, shouldn't the sources still be attached? She is showing as deceased. All her sources are gone, though.0 -

Ron Tanner said: This person, at some time, was considered sensitive and marked private. Since she was in your line a private copy was made for you. We reviewed the person and determined that it should have not been marked private and this has been restored.0
