Surnames in all CAPITAL letters on smart phone app for record hints

I've never seen this before. So, I am having to go in and manually change them back to capital first letter of last name and then lower case for all other letters. I am confused as I thought I recall reading the correct way to input names was capital letter and then lower case letters. Are all these different record sets now automatically making last names capital letters? Is this a glitch? This is on numerous record sets and not limited to one family.

Gordon Collett said: This is probably how they were originally extracted back in the 70's or 80's using a decades old genealogy standard. The current recommended practice is indeed to use normal capitalization. So do continue to correct these manually when you use them to create people in Family Tree.0

I manually corrected all the extra upper case letters to lower case0
