Am well aware that there are churches that will not allow you to photo records but so many Quebec records are totally done-- Hotel Dieu, Quebec (city) is another with burials beginning 1723 but are actually much earlier also. I was unable to find the post-1877 records you are talking about- they must be under a different place name in the catalog. I checked both Iberville and St Athanase.

Does Shirly think there are records prior to 1823?

If Shirley thinks the latter collection should be included in the larger collection "Quebec, Catholic parish registers, 1621-1979", Shirley could report this using the Errors? button at the bottom go the catalogue page.
