Tom Huber said: I strongly recommend using The FamilyHistory Guide (https://thefhguide.com/) to learn how to do things with the FamilySearch site. The guide is (FamilySearch) approved and includes training for use with other site.

There are several ways to access the massive tree and its features. The PC Web version differs considerably from the mobile versions (iOS and Android), so it is helpful to know what version you are attempting to use.

If you are using a mobile vesion, I find those to be very clunky and hard to use because of the small screen (even on my iPad) and the inability to have multiple tabs open (unless I use Safari on the iPad).

With the PC version, one almost always has the ability to open a process in its own tab or window, thus avoiding the "go back" problems that sometimes creep into the process.
