Gordon Collett said: Either a hardware glitch, a network glitch, or some major update in progress.
Last night and still this morning the Find routine is having major problems. I'm having to refresh the screen once or twice to get the list of results to display.
But back to the watch list, the blog ( https://www.familysearch.org/blog/en/... ) was updated yesterday to say this with a couple of images that I won't copy in here:Update: June 16, 2020—Changes to Watch Feature and Watch Notifications
But I don't see any of these changes yet. If this is a slow roll out, some people might be seeing it, I might see it in a couple of days, and you might be in the middle of the switch over.
The Watch feature on FamilySearch.org—which notifies you of changes to a person’s information in the Family Tree—has been renamed “Follow.” This term is similar to what other social media sites use and is more intuitive. In addition to this name change, the Lists drop-down menu option is now labeled “Following.” The Following page shows a list of the persons you follow and a history of recent changes.
To follow a person’s changes in the Tree, you can click Follow on their profile page. Also, anywhere an ancestor name appears in Family Tree, you can click the name to show the Person Card, and then you can click Follow. To unfollow a person, click Following. Notice that the star is filled in when you are following the person.
You can view a list of the people you are following and see all the changes to them for the last 60 days. Just click the Following tab found at the top of the Family Tree or person page.
Notifications of changes made to people you are following will now appear only in FamilySearch messages or notifications, rather than in an email. This change helps avoid excessive messages and unnecessary cluttering of your mailbox."0 -

m said: I'm still seeing "Lists."
(I do not see "My contributions.")
When I click on "Lists" it opens "Changes to People I'm Watching."
I see the following changes:
1) new spreadsheet look with new headings and new little clickable arrows up & down in blue.
2) all fields of spreadsheet totally blank besides headings.
3) scrollbar thingie on right side missing.0 -

Are the engineers aware of this? Do all Firefox users see this?0 -

As explained, it looks like we are likely to be seeing different screens for Lists / "Changes to People I'm Watching" while the new feature is in the process of being introduced to all users.
I am using Firefox and see little difference from before, except the "new little clickable arrows up & down in blue". Otherwise, all much the same, including no filter working in "Changes....", though okay in "People I'm Watching".
Guess will need to be patient doing the roll-out of "Following", which I am very much NOT looking forward to.0 -
m said: But is your watchlist page completely empty/blank/white? And does it say "0" changes to people you are watching?0

Paul said: No, everything looks okay, including figures for people being watched and number of changes made.0

m said: I wonder how many people on Firefox have completely empty/blank/white pages saying "0" changes and for how many days this will last?
And I wonder what is going on with the other browsers, such as Safari and Edge?0 -
Gordon Collett said: In Safari and Firefox there have been no update or changes to the List feature that I see at all. But remember, FamilySearch can release updates to just a portion of users at a time. Some of the major updates have first been released to only 5% of users to begin with then slowly increased to everyone over days to weeks. You might just be one of the "lucky" early ones.0

Bryce Roper said: Here is an update:
In the coming days Family Search will be releasing an update to the watch feature that we call Following. We are also releasing a web client version to the My Contributions feature that is currently available on the mobil app.
We have been working on updating the blog article to support these new features and the blog was accidentally released before the features were released. We will be rolling back the blog article so it does not mention these new features until the have released.
We are sorry for the mix up.0 -
m said: Wow. A "lucky" early person with a blank page that says "0" changes and missing scrollbar --- has to be buggy, correct?0

m said: I have 4 bug report threads with 5 bugs in them.
The website is so buggy that FS is a bad experience for me when I visit, and I expect it is the same for some other users right now.
Especially the blank watchlist page, and the fact that changelog page sometimes can't load unless I refresh 4 times (I suspect that is a 6th bug).
And now I no longer believe the red dots mean and new message/discovery is there, I assume just the old ones are there.0 -

Bryce has already suggested you might have to wait for some days before this matter will be resolved. If the new "Following" feature is in the process of being introduced, I hardly think the engineers will want to spend time fixing bugs on something (the current watch list) that is about to be replaced.0 -
m said: Something similar happened on the same day to Places search. The scrollbar appeared on the right hand side, but the scrollbar took up the entire space between up and down, so that it was impossible to scroll to the bottom of the page, but you could see there was more. I was able to press the down arrow button to get to the bottom of the page.
So 2 computer bugs appearing on the same day involving the scrollbar?
Seems to me they could be related.
I don't want to make a separate thread because I have 4 bug threads with 5 bugs in them, mentioned the fact that watchlist page doesn't load (6) and mentioned Places scrollbar bug (7).0 -
m said: How long until the watch list will be replaced/no longer blank?0

Tom Huber said: Have you tried refreshing the page?
The reason I'm asking is that I ran into an instance where the person who made the changes was missing for the change -- the change was there in the log, along with the date, but for some unknown reason, the contributor's name did not appear. A range of dates was involved.
I opened a discussion thread and someone said that they saw the same thing, but that when they refreshed the page, the contributor names were there.
These kinds of problems are difficult to troubleshoot since they are intermittent. But in your situation, if refreshing the page does not resolve the blank page, then that is something that is persistent for you and FamilySearch needs to investigate, unless the code is being replaced when Family Search pushes "Follow" into production.0 -

Started when the new format was rolled out. How long until the watch list will be replaced/no longer blank?0 -

Tom Huber said: Two new features were introduced while Get Sat was down:
1) Following is now in place of Watch. Yes, we cannot remove the changes we have made, but the changes are now grouped by person, so having our changes in place is not a bad thing (my opinion).
2) My Contributions are now available on the web site, whereas they were previously only a part of the mobile app.0
