I just wonder if you guys are able to collaborate with open archives and merge the duplicated source information. Right now one links to the new web page on open archives and the other goes to an error page on their website.

Problems like this are not new. I have seen similar problems with Find a Grave where the grave information was recorded for the same cemetery but under two different cemetery names. When Find a Grave consolidated the cemetery listing, it broke the links for the graves that disappeared as a result of the merge.0 -

Tom Huber said: Basically, you've done it by posting the problem in this forum.
I don't know what can be done, other than with an import from another site, a test could be run to make sure the links are valid.
Once imported, a routine needs to be run periodically to see if any links have become broken and if so, a new import done with the partner site.0 -

joe martel said: Cousin, did you mean to post your ADMIN comment on another thread? This thread seems ok, no politics nor prejudice. Opinions are ok and I guess I don't perceive any heat.0

Cousin David said: Yes, my bad. There was a comment around this that used the inflammatory word “Liberal” in regard to an Unnecessary and rude comparing. I am certain you can see which one it was. Please delete my inaccurately posted Reply. Apologies to all that I may have offended. Regardless, my comment about the usefulness of the forum sadly remains.0
