First, are you using Android or iOS?

Second, are you seeing these persons with no hints when you first come into the Ancestors with Tasks feature? Or do you see them on the list when they do have unresolved hints, then you go attach the hints (or mark them as "Not a Match") and then return to the list of tasks, only to find that the person is still listed?

Finally, you said that it is "no longer" clearing names. I gather from that statement that it used to behave as you hoped, but is no longer doing that. Do you have any recollection of when it stopped working correctly? Was it after an app upgrade, or did it just stop working properly? Do you recall how long ago that was?

Prior to the recent overhaul in the hint attachment process, I had no problem. Even if I used the web version to review an.comd attach sources, I could open the profile from the list in the Android app, and look at one hint. That would force enough of a profile refresh to see whether the profile still had hints. The hints would clear, and the app would clear the name from the list.

Today, I've been playing with trying to clear some of the names from my list. And its really weird. I can open a profile from my list on the Android app. The profile opens with no hints. *Sometimes* choosing to "refresh this profile" will remove the name from the list after a minute or so. I've had some success with clearing a few times at a given time. But then I'll find a profile that truly did need work done, and after processing several hints, I'll return to my Ancestors With Tasks list, and all of the names that I had cleared will show up in the list again, still with no new hints.

Who knows? Maybe its something to do with particular profiles. You can investigate a few of these:

I can't really look into your Ancestors with Tasks very easily, but the good news is that when I started with the father of the first person on your list (Stephen Brubaker's father Donald Edward Brubaker), I can duplicate the problem with Donald's Descendants with Tasks. The AwT and DwT features share the same underlying code, so I'm confident that if we fix one, we'll fix the other.

I'll need to work with some of our back-end people, so it will take some time, but this gets me on the right track.
