If I'm computer-savvy I snuffle around, try a few things... Hello! I just needed to Scroll UP. And there's the detach dialog.

When you open a dialog, it can't just be somewhere up at the top of the page. It should be visible in the user's window, wherever they have scrolled to.

Jeff Wiseman said: Yea, for what it's worth you can only re-edit a previous post until there is a reply or comment added to it. At that point your posting becomes locked. E.g., this post of mine will prevent you from modifying your post on the system and browser that you are running.

In fact, it you start re-editing and then someone posts a reply or comment, you will not know until you attempt to submit it.
