Confusion about the temple expiration dates

Christine said: Charlotte Jackson Wilkes, LB5N-81S, shows Baptism and confirmation in 2018; iniatory Feb 2020, Endowment reserved 19 Feb 2020, expires 1 May 2023. Why longer than 2 years?

    Tom Huber said: Right now the temples are closed for vicarious work (as Heidi mentioned, due to the pandemic). The expiration dates are being extended as needed so when the temples reopen, everyone will still have time to complete the ordinances. This applies to the 90-day limit as well as the two year limit (one year after the last ordinance was completed).
