NO Couple Relationship

Widget said: Need to show on the person's page in the Couple Relationship, Spouse Name, that there is No Relationship. It is mentioned in the Other Information, but most people just start researching for a possible spouse...they don't check the Other section.

However, I also take the time to look through the full details in that person's profile to see what is missing. If the "Other information" section has pertinent information, I will see it and proceed accordingly. First, I'll look for a note or discussion that talks about the person's life and whether or not they remained single. If I find no note, and nothing that provides a source for the No Couple Relationship, even some kind of note or reason statement, then I'll start looking for a possible relationship, usually starting with finding an obituary or death certificate..
There is no way to send a user down a narrow valley where they look at everything before they start working on that person's profile. In fact, many people may do nothing more than take care of any hints that showed up in their recommended tasks list.
The empty spouse should be enough to give a clue, and if the person does not understand the clue, nothing we can do will help them understand the situation.
Family History and research is not an easy task. It really is up to the individual user to study the record to see what they should look for next.0
