Recently, FamilySearch made a change to this site and after using CCleaner, I cannot sign in to participate in the discussions. I’m stuck using my iPad which has a drunk spell checker at work.
Anyway, I opened a case and waited patiently for a response. Finally, I got one saying they could not replicate the problem.
I suspect they used Chrome’s internal method for clearing cookies, which does not clear the tracking cookies.
I reopened the case, and finally decided to use my iPad to post the problem.
The sign in goes to FamilySearch to sign in, but does not return to this forum.
And of course, I can’t post my computer’s screen captures from my iPad.

Tom Huber said: This problem appears to be from the new menu that FamilySearch has placed on its GetSatisfaction forum. The system does not return from the sign in on FamilySearch to GetSatisfaction.
This impacts the iOS mobile version as well.0 -

Tom Huber said: Only four browsers are supported by the developer teams. Chrome’s variants are not supported, regardless of how good they appear to work.0

Tom Huber said: I just installed Firefox on my laptop and signed into FamilySearch. I can now post in GetSatisfaction using Firefox. The problem still exists for Chrome.0

Tom Huber said: While this explains what may be the problem with the API used for us to interface with FamilySearch (see https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/d...), Chrome is abandoning javascript and therefore, routines that use Java are likely failing.
Hopefully, the engineers can look into this to see if that is indeed the problem.0 -
Tom Huber said: Just as an update, the login problem has been resolved for Chrome, but the indicator does not always indicate that I am signed into FamilySearch from Get Sat.0
