The new page for merging duplicates should have a consistent layout with the rest of the site

It's a bit jarring to suddenly have the font, format, color scheme, and page design be completely different. Even the blue button that I'm supposed to click to continue to the next step of the merge is now a different shade of blue (and a less friendly shade in my opinion) and has a different button design than the one we see when attaching sources. This detracts from the work I'm doing and makes it less natural for my eye to find what I'm supposed to do next.
Other specifics that I've noticed slow me down and mentally distract:
-The little icons that indicate male vs female aren't consistent with what's on the rest of the website in color, image, or border
-When a biological/step/etc relationship has been specified for an individual, this piece of information shows up in a larger font than the rest of the information. This draws the eye to that as if it's the most important info.
-I miss having the boxes around each individual spouse and child. With their names and vital info all clumped into one list it makes it harder for my eyes to scan over the info and pick out important discrepancies.
-If one person doesn't have a spouse listed and the other doesn't have parents--please don't line them up across from each other. They should be offset so you can tell at a glance which info you should be comparing. As it is now, I start comparing the name of one person's parents to the name of the other person's spouse and then get confused for a second before I notice the labels that say "Spouse" and "Parents."
I've been a regular user of FamilySearch since it's inception and have lived through several formatting changes. I waited several weeks to give the new layout for merging duplicates a fair chance before commenting about why I dislike it.

I do agree that the heading on the sections for parents and spouse should always line up so it is easier to compare the two.0 -
