New Message center changes don't work!

Brian Edward Schuck said: This is regarding case #07521973. There were three changes that were made. The first which was discussed was the scroll bar. It is an easy fix as demonstrated by the page I am currently on. The second is the addition of the About line. The information is self populated identifying the person by name and birth and death and other information which doesn't make any intuitive sense. What it fails to provide is the addition of the PID. People are identified by their PID, not by their name and birth/death years. The third change is that one no longer sees "view relationship" and many times an e-mail address. Viewing one's relationship to the person who has made the change is very helpful. It changes the context of the message because instead of sending a message to a stranger one can send a message to a cousin with common ancestry. From the "view relationship" I have discovered mistakes in my direct lines. Lastly, you may know the answer as to how many people when they log on to Family Search, then check if they have received a new message. There is a far greater likelihood that a person will open an e-mail than discover if they have a message on FS. Most of us open our e-mail every day but we do not always open FS every day. All of my messages invite the person that has made a change that I find wrong to review the information I have sent and then respond to the suggested changes that I propose. Taking away the e-mail address of the sender makes that process totally dependent on the FS message center process. My experience thus far after sending hundreds of message is that only a small percentage of recipients respond back.

Tom Huber said: Welcome to the community-powered feedback forum for FamilySearch. FamilySearch personnel read every discussion thread and may or may not respond as their time permits. We all share an active interest in using the resources of this site and as users, we have various levels of knowledge and experience and do our best to help each other with concerns, issues, and/or questions.
First, no one but support can see your support cases.
Second, never post more than one issue in a case (or message thread for this forum). Only one will be addressed and usually, it is the last one mentioned.
Third, this feedback forum is much better to use because you can attach screen shots and mock up possible solutions in the thread. A screen shot with some kind of flag for the problem is worth many times more than the thousand words that a "picture is worth".
Now, as to your three issues.
If I think you are talking about a line similar to thisAbout: Samuel Clark (1778–1853) | Change Log | Person | Family Tree | FamilySearch | FamilySearch
, the issues have already been raised several times. They should be links, but are not, so this involves a computer bug. The PID is unnecessary if the link is working.0 -
FS Messages from other users not working correctly. I have just been liaising with someone and we have sent 3 messages each to each other. However, the scroll bar is not there to read these messages or any new message that come in, so I can only see the first message from this person. On the right hand side it tells me that a new message is in but I cannot get the message onto the screen to read with no scroll option.
