Backward step in searching for indexed historical record collections

The problem is, these "indexed" collections are often only partly indexed, so many records will not be found in a search. In any case, users will want to still have the option to select, say, a parish from a particular collection and scroll through the images frame by frame. Going to the Catalog each time is not as satisfactory an option as having a complete breakdown of the collection's contents, either - in case someone should suggest this..
Pleases restore this page to how is was - searches will be made much more difficult, otherwise.

Paul said: Just found a "workaround"! If I go to the Image-Only section (see below) amd click on "Show All 12" ALL the availble England collections appear - i.e. both image-only AND indexed - including the "England, Norfolk, Parish Registers (County Record Office), 1510-1997" one I thought I was no longer able to access. How is anyone supposed to work that out?
So, yes, either this method of finding these indexed collections (i.e. under the image-only section!) should be explained on this page or preferably, as suggested, a roll-back to the superseded page is required.

Tom Huber said: Hi Paul,
I have used the link on the search home page (https://www.familysearch.org/search/) and use the "Browse All Published Collections" link. I'm not sure if anyone familiar with searching for relatives has not used that to see what is available.
The collections can be narrowed by using the Place, Date, and Collection Type filters. There is an indicator if the images are available, but the indicators do not include restricted access icon. The two images that I have spotted are the standard camera and the partner site (such as Find a Grave) that has the image. The Camera with key above it is nowhere to be seen.0 -

Paul said: Yes, I had to install Firefox so I could post images here!
What I require - a choice of indexed collections to browse for a specific county - is ("was", excepting the workaround described) only easily available from this page. As I say, I have found I CAN still do this, but why move al the indexed collections away from an appropriately headed section to one (on the same page) that is meant to contain another type of records - image-only ones? It seems difficult to believe the engineers did this intentionally, but even harder to understand why they have decided to play around with the format of this page at all. Especially as all the other sections retain the same search capability as before. Scroll up and down https://www.familysearch.org/search/c... (although the problem does not just apply to the "England" page) and you will see why I want the former "top-half" of this page to be restored.0 -

Paul said: I believe the recent problems have been due to the engineers working on these pages. In my original post I was about to report another problem, whereby the Image-Only section was showing a blank for its contents. A simple reloading of the page solved that one. However, by the time I had posted the topic that problem had disappeared altogether, so I hurriedly deleted the paragraph which referred to it. I think we might be seeing further odd things happening here, until the engineers finally leave it alone!0
