Juli said: What new website? There hasn't been any substantial change in several years.

Also, search for what? The Search drop-down menu at the top of every single FamilySearch page has seven different things in it, and they all have different details.

Tom Huber said: First, welcome to the community-powered feedback forum for FamilySearch. FamilySearch personnel read every discussion thread and may or may not respond as their time permits. We all share an active interest in using the resources of this site and as users, we have various levels of knowledge and experience and do our best to help each other with concerns, issues, and/or questions.

Juli is correct. What are you searching? The search facilities may have some new features, but they add to being able to narrow search results.

Also, check the URL (address line for your browser) and make sure it says familysearch.org -- anything else and you are not on the FamilySearch site.

Something that may help is The Family History Guide (http://thefhguide.com/) which is an approved training guide for FamilySearch. It also features training for several other genealogically related sties, such as Ancestry.
