When I do a records search and get a list of possible matches, I find that many of the possible matches are outside of the parameters I select for the search. I would like the ability from the tools menu on the record summary to delete those possible matches that I can immediately determine do not fit, to reduce the length of the list. Not to delete the record itself, of course, but just delete the record from my search results. It would also be helpful if that deletion was remembered, so that I would have a choice to either include or not include past deletions from any future searches for that person.

This is an admirable idea and something that others have asked for in the past. As to whether or not it is implemented depends upon a review of the suggestion and then prioritizing its development.
Just to let you know how long this can take, it took ten years before a much requested (and needed) means to make changes to the indexes was released, and it is still not fully functional. Hopefully, no feature will take that long ever again.0 -

However, right now in the search area, there are some filters already in the lower left corner of the results page. Adding another filter of some sort there would be a more likely solution I suspect.
I personally would like a filter to hide all of the sources that were already attached to someone in the tree or even someone specific in the tree, and it would be good to have it useable simultaneously with any of the other filters (e.g., such as collections).0 -

In the meantime, are you aware that you can export the search results in blocks of 100?
Just click it on the Export tab for each page of results that you want to download:
Import them into a spreadsheet program:
Spend a few minutes to clean up the columns to what you need:
Then go to work deleting rows that don't apply, sorting various ways, color coding, anything that helps you find what you need. I've done with with complex family puzzles and it has really helped.
The first column contains the URLs of the records and these are active links so that you can just to click to jump directly back to any of these in FamilySearch.0
