Jeff Wiseman said: Jordi, this problem existed over a month ago in the old system as well. I'm going to add a reference to your note here to that initial trouble topic:

Jeff Wiseman said: Gordon, that might be correct, but the problem with the Unknown Name in the "Changes to people I'm watching" list has never quite been resolved. I still have a couple (granted NOT very many) still in my list, and I use Safari. So I guess I'm still a bit suspicious :-)
It does look like the related problem though.0 -
Gordon Collett said: Jeff, I would have to wonder if the problem you are seeing is not being resolved because the "Changes to People I'm Watching," as seen in beta, appears to be the next big chunk of code to be replaced. They may not have been using any time to fix the problem you are seeing knowing that this would be short term problem. It may even be that preparing the production site for the update may have been causing the problem. If this speculation is the case, it would have been nice for someone to post a quick note of "we know, working on a replacement."0

Paul said: If this is the case, all that has been required is for an employee to have recorded at https://getsatisfaction.com/familysea... something like:
"We are currently working on an enhancement to the existing "Lists" feature. As you will see if you visit the beta version of Family Tree, we are trialing a new "Following" section, which we hope to introduce to the production model in the near future. Sorry for any inconvenience caused meanwhile, especially in relation to "Unknown Name" appearing against certain IDs in the "Changes To People I'm Watching" part of "Lists" and possibly elsewhere."
Jeff raised the topic at https://getsatisfaction.com/familysea... over a month ago. Joe Martel is aware and appears to have passed it on (24 days ago), but still no response from the engineers.0 -
Tom Huber said: With the exception of the search engineer, Lundgren, I have seen almost no responses from other engineers. The best we can hope for is a response from someone with FamilySearch, such as Joe or Ron Tanner, letting us know that the appropriate team is aware of the problem.
That is something that I've seen for a long, long, long time.0 -
Jordi Kloosterboer said: It looks like it is fixed now.0

Jeff Wiseman said: That's encouraging. However, Cyberling's Law of Entomology states that "there is always another bug" :-)0

Tom Huber said: Keep an eye on this. The Unknown Name is a bug that impacted the
"Changes To People I'm Watching" list. Both of those need to no longer display any "Unknown Name" for a person. They may or may not have been related.0
