If the Library still has a pool of volunteers, why not make them available to scan pages of books to be emailed to patrons on request. A van Helsdingen said: There has been a similar situation with historical records on the FamilySearch website viewable only at FHCs and affiliate libraries. In that case, FS has decided not to introduce a temporary fix (by negotiating with record owners for more relaxed restrictions for a few weeks). Based on that track record, I wouldn't expect FS to make books at the FHL viewable while it's closed. We will have to wait for the FHL, FHCs and Affiliate Libraries to gradually open again. In some parts of the world this has began- in my home town the Affiliate Libraries have re-opened.
