The Search... images search feature does not search memories.

In testing this, I have found that the Search.... Image... does not search uploaded memories. The place the photo was taken is standardized and was set up in June of 2016. See https://www.familysearch.org/tree/per... for the memory entry.
My question is why doesn't the search images not work against memories and if this was intentional, will that search feature ever work against uploaded memories?

Jeff Porter said: Please click the blue link under the radio button on the Memories Find page for an explanation of what is included in the search results. The link is blue and says "How to use the find feature in Memories". Your request to search by place (or date for that matter) is valid but it is outside the scope of what they currently search for.0

I wonder when (or if) the search images or Find memories feature will be expanded.
Can someone from FS let us know. I understand that FS will not give us a release date, but it would be helpful to know if there are plans to include this feature of searching for places in memories at some future time.
We have the option to add the place and apply a standard, so it is something that I would expect to be available.
Memories are the one place where, associated with places, that one could conceivably find photographs of relatives. The search Historical Records is tied to the digitized images, but in a very limited manner -- no searching for images of named people.0
