Historical Records Error: Correction of Index gone awry

Indexed sources look like this:
The original place name wasn't great. It should just be Ytterøy, Nord-Trøndelag, Norway. The "corrected" place name, which is name one gets when attaching these as a source in Family Tree, however, is horribly wrong.
Can this "correction" be reversed?
Here is a list of death records to which the correction was applied to the burial place but not the death place:
https://www.familysearch.org/search/r...
However, many of the death records did not have a place of death, just a place of burial and these do not come up on this search.
Since it is not possible for us to search using the original place name, I cannot tell how many more there are or if there are birth and marriage records that were affected by this except by going to the original parish records for Ytterøy, finding a random example like this:
https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20050...
and looking for it in the historical records database:
In this case the error in the correction wasn't as bad but it still removed important information from the place name for some unfathomable reason.
