Don't force display of "historical events" in a person's timeline

Therefore, how about providing a BUTTON by which we could opt to include historical events in the timeline view (rather than opting us into seeing them, by default)?

I agree, or give an option to hide the historical events. It is too cluttered, so difficult to see the persons actual events. Thank you! Now I see how, I'd like to delete this comment. Don't see how to do that. Thank you.

You can effectively delete a comment by clicking on "Edit", then deleting the text and clicking on "Post Comment". It will still be seen that you have posted a comment, but at least the words will have disappeared.
I do this myself if I later feel my comments were not appropraite to a thread, or (for whatever reason) I want to delete my remarks.
