Tom Huber said: Dates are required for any event to show up on the time line.

This applies to siblings, parents, spouses, and all events in a person's life. That is also why this is called a time line.

C Hodgins said: The individual whose time line I was looking at has only deceased for death with no date. However, the spouse of that person has a death date and I thought the spouse's death date should show on the first individual's time line. The only way I can force the spouse's death date to appear on the first individual's time line is to add a death date for the first individual.

Tom Huber said: That is a different situation. If you can provide the PID of the persons involved, it would help us (users) determine if there is a problem or something else is going on.

If the person has no death date and they were born before the end of the 1800s, then the spouse and their death date should show up if the spouse is properly identified.

For those born at or after the end of the 1800s, the system may not be ready to consider the "deceased" entry as valid information. There needs to be a solid primary or secondary report that supports the "deceased" entry. Otherwise, it is a matter of hearsay and not supported information.

Even if some relatives says, "I know that Uncle Chet died recently" but has offered no date or place, then that presents a problem. The US SSA does not reveal recent deaths to help resolve the "stolen ID" problem concerning deceased persons. Recent deaths especially need to have specific death dates (even a year will work) and evidence that the death took place.

    Thanks.

    Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

    For the individual/person David Fransen ALBRIGHT ( LKB1-CMR )

Short Answer: You have "Stardardised" the "Death" record; as, the 'Year' of "0015".

Basically, all that you need to do, is go back in and "Edit" that "Death" record; so that, the 'Date' of "Death" is "Standardised" as the "15 August 2021", instead of the 'Year' of "0015" - that is it, simple as that.

    Currently ...

Such is an easy mistake to make.

We have all ... been there ... done that ... at some stage.

That should ALSO address/fix the "Time Line".

    I hope that this helps.

    Brett
