Reserving just the baptism and confirmation ordinances

Calvin Gene Maxwell said: Temple and Family History Consultants like me have been encouraged to work with youth 12 years of age and older. Goal: for the young man or young woman to find ancestors whose temple work has not been completed, reserve the work in their FamilySearch account, and do the baptisms/confirmations themselves. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to reserve JUST the baptisms and confirmations. Consequently the youth ends up also reserving the initiatory work, the endowment, and the sealing to the parents. While it is true that when he or she is ready to print the proxy card, he or she can choose only the baptism and confirmation ordinances; nevertheless, the other temple work is still reserved in the name of the youth. In many cases, the young man or young woman is not concerned with the fact that no one else (unless he/she gives the proxy card to someone else) can do the initiatory, endowment or sealing to parents since those ordinances are reserved in his or her name. My hope is that the reservation system can be modified so that it is possible to choose to reserve just the baptism and confirmation. Of course, they could also be taught how to unreserve those other ordinances but that isn't as simple as the idea just mentioned.

I agree. I am a young man who has found over 200 names in my family tree. I have performed the majority of the baptisms and confirmations. And I have 200 endowment and initiatory ordinances reserved that I haven't performed yet. However, I'll enter the temple within the next year. I have a great and marvelous work to do.

I am finding the same problem. It would be great to just be able to reserve the ordinaces that the patron is able to do. whether that be B/C, Int, End or sealings.
